Undergraduates in Applied Physics, Engineering, or Computing who are looking for a practical training period or a place to complete their final project are eligible for the CERN Internship. Individuals may spend 4 to 12 months at CERN as part of their studies (Bachelor’s or Master’s). Consider doing an internship at CERN in Geneva if your university or institute requires or encourages you to gain work experience.
Eligibility Requirements for 2024 CERN Internship Program
To be eligible for a place on the programme, you must meet the following requirements:
- You are a CERN Member or Associate Member State national.
- At the time of the next student selection round in June 2024, you have completed at least 18 months of your undergraduate studies (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
- During the internship, you remain enrolled as a full-time student.
- You are fluent in either English or French.
Benefits of 2024 CERN Internship Program
- A 4- to 12-month association contract.
- A monthly allowance of 3407 Swiss Francs (net of tax).
- A stipend for travel.
- If you are married and/or have children, you may be eligible for a supplement.
- Coverage under CERN’s comprehensive health insurance scheme (your contribution will be deducted automatically from your allowance).
