Beijing Institute of Technology University’s Chinese Government Scholarship is a fully funded opportunity for international students. Scholarship Requirements for Beijing Institute of Technology
To be considered for the Beijing Institute of Technology Scholarship, you must:
- Be non-Chinese citizens in good mental and physical health, and will follow Chinese laws and regulations as well as Beijing Institute of Technology’s rules and regulations;
- Be under the age of 35 and an academically excellent holder of a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent;
- Be under the age of 40 and an academically excellent holder of a master’s degree or its equivalent;
- For Chinese-taught programmes, you must have an HSK certificate (minimum level 5); for English-taught programmes, you must have a TOEFL score of 85 or a 6.0 overall band in IELTS (English native speakers are exempt). For the MBA programme, you must have at least one year of related work or internship experience, or provide other language certificates recognised by BIT.
Scholarship Duration and Reward
The Scholarship period will depend on the type of degree.
Benefits are stated as follows:
- Tuition fees
- Free university dormitory or accommodation subsidy;
- Stipend: Master’s students: CNY 3,000 /month.
- Doctoral students: CNY 3,500/month;
- Comprehensive medical insurance: CNY 800/person/year.

Online Enrollment
- Apply online at http://apply.isc.bit.edu.cn/.
- Applicants for Chinese Government Scholarships must first register at https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn and upload the necessary documents. (Agency No. 10007; Type: B)
Fee for Material Review and Application
Applicants who pass the initial Material Review will be required to pay the CNY 600 (non-refundable) application fee directly in the online application system.
Extensive Interview
Applicants who have paid the application fee will be invited to participate in a Comprehensive Interview. The time and method will be communicated in advance via email.
Academic Review & Further Reviews
Applicants who pass the Comprehensive Interview will be admitted to the Academic Review and subsequent rounds of evaluation.
Please keep in mind that we strongly advise you to contact BIT advisors before or during the admission process. There is NO NEED to delay following the Comprehensive Interview.
Pre-Admission
Applicants who pass the academic review and subsequent reviews will receive a pre-admission notice.
Step 6: Official Admission (Final Result)
The final result (official admission) will be sent via email in July.
