Scholarship Details:

There are two types of Shanghai Government Scholarships for Foreign Students: A and B.

Type A and Type B of the Shanghai Government Scholarships for Foreign Students cater to varied financial demands and scholastic levels. Type A, often known as a complete scholarship, covers tuition, accommodation, living expenses, and comprehensive medical insurance for the duration of the academic time. Scholarship Requirements for Shanghai Government Scholarship

  • Applicants must be of foreign nationality and in good physical and mental condition.
  • Academic qualifications and age criteria for applicants:
  • Applicants for undergraduate studies must have graduated from high school and be no older than 25 years old; Applicants for master’s degrees must have a bachelor’s degree and be no older than 35 years old; Applicants for doctoral studies must have a master’s degree and certain academic qualifications level, and be no older than 40 years old.
  • Students applying for undergraduate preparatory courses must have a high school diploma or higher, a pre-admission notice from an undergraduate admission institution, and be under the age of 23.
  •  Outstanding academic accomplishment.
  • Comply with the language proficiency requirements:
  • Applicants must have a general Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) score of at least 4 (a current HSK certificate must be presented). Simultaneously, you must meet the language criteria for the teaching language indicated by the school and major to which you are applying.
  •  Meet the requirements of the institution and major for which you are applying.
  • Not obtaining other sorts of Chinese government scholarships at the same time

Scholarship Duration and Reward for Shanghai Government Scholarship

These scholarships cover tuition, on-campus housing, stipends, and medical insurance for full-time degree programmes and are open to applicants from all countries.
